Early diagnosis and management of your pain is essential to ensure your recovery time is minimised and you can get back to doing the things that are important to you. Initial relief of your pain is an important part of your initial treatment.

Physiotherapy can assist in also correcting other factors that may contribute to your condition to ensure your long term recovery.

Injury prevention is an important part of your treatment plan to help minimise recurrent or persisting problems.

You do not need a referral to be treated by a physiotherapist or exercise physiology, however if you are claiming Work Cover injury, Third Party injury, Veteran’s Affair’s entitlements or Medicare treatment a doctor or specialist referral is required.

Physiotherapy is a clinical health science provided by a qualified physiotherapist who has studied at university for at least 4 years. Dry needling

Our physiotherapists often include acupuncture or dry needling in their treatment as the evidence base for this in physiotherapy has increased substantially over the past decade.

Dry needling is often used in addition to other treatment options to effectively treat acute and chronic back pain, chronic neck pain, tension type and migraine headaches, pelvic girdle pain, knee osteoarthritis, lateral elbow pain and shoulder conditions.

Aged care/rehabilitation

We put the care back into Aged Care in the St George area.

Caring for your ageing parents – Caring for your spouse – Caring for your loved ones

We believe that early intervention is essential to reduce the effects of aging and is key to better outcomes for our clients.

We have a dedicated team of physiotherapists who will complete a comprehensive initial assessment and develop a rehabilitation plan to help each client achieve their goals.

We provide in clinic, home based and Aged Care facility treatment sessions. Our clients can expect:

  • One-on-one treatment sessions
  • Advice on manual handling strategies to promote safety
  • Regular updates to family, carer and GP/specialists.

Home visits

We have a dedicated team who provide a home based physiotherapy service in the St George area, especially for those with longer-term requirements.

Many chronic health problems, acute injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation clients are managed more effectively when treated in the comfort of their own home. Practical problems affecting everyday living in your home can be addressed with exercises and rehabilitation specifically tailored to your home environment.

Physiotherapy at home also enables other members of your family or carers to be involved in the development of management plans and helps gain a better understanding of the condition and how to help.

Our home visit service extends to visits to Aged Care facilities either during periods of respite or for longer-term care.

Waterproof casting & splinting

Our therapists are fully trained in the application and removal of waterproof casts.

Bring your recent x-rays to the clinic and we should usually be able to fit you in for a same day appointment.

Sometimes a cast is not the most appropriate option and a brace may be a better alternative. We stock a variety of braces but we may need to order one especially for you to ensure the best fit, immobilisation and your comfort.

We can remove casts (whether we have fitted them or not) and then provide necessary rehabilitation if required.
